Consumers, users, buyers have cultivated their minds by training their algorithms to categorize objects as well as to use them efficiently; in the minds of consumers there are expectations built and already learned on what certain products should look like, and how certain products should function as well as their any eventual interfaces; staying within the expectations reduces the mental burden for users, consumers, clients and buyers; and therefore greatly helps the success of a design in the marketplace; and since industrial design is solely designed to satisfy market needs, the already existing expectations of consumers on form and function is not only important but fundamental to its acceptance.
