Onur Cobanliexplains:
If a design is self-evident sometimes it is not because the design is good but just because the design is simply simple. Sometimes good design requires complexity. Moreover, simple is subjective so simple for one can be complex for another. Good design can embrace complexity when necessary; simplicity is not always the hallmark of good design. Complex designs can address intricate problems and offer advanced functionality. Recognizing when complexity adds value is essential in the design process.
