Mutual evolution drives progress with design and technology. It may seem like an ongoing debate similar to the chicken or egg scenario about which comes first—technology or design but of course, the answer is indeed simple; design came first because with design came the technology, as we understand it but of course if you would consider non-conscious technology such as the structures in your cells, or even your mitochondria, then perhaps technology came first, depends on your definition really. Technological advances open new avenues for design by providing new tools, materials, and processes. Conversely, innovative design challenges existing technology, pushing for advancements to realize creative visions. This reciprocal relationship propels both fields forward, demonstrating that they evolve not in isolation, but in tandem. Design pushes tech and tech pushes design.
