Advertising and marketing, is also one of the highest cost items within a good business, so it makes all the sense to invest in your products as much as you could to make them market themselves; with good design you will either spend less in marketing costs or achieve more sales with the same marketing budget; it is profitable to invest in good design, it costs cheaper to market good design; good design sells easier.
