Design needs extensive investment, the investment is mental, you need to think, think and think a bit more after thinking much more before you could create a good design. Good design requires much thinking because it must anticipate, good design anticipates future trends as well as future problems and issues, it considers the details, it consider potential users and their potential needs that are not yet addressed, good design is designing for a future that does not exist yet, thus before your make good design, you need to simulate future, and that requires you to invest your mind as much as you can.
