Any act of creation that involves thinking also involves design, indeed any creation that has purpose involves design; for example random seeming systems might be self organizing based on conditions, regardless, lets bypass the natural phenomenon that occur randomly and focus on man made stuff, everything man made has a purpose, even the ones without having a seemingly no purpose, has the purpose of passing time or relaxation, so there is always design in whatever you do, but the amount of design matters.
