Design is thinking but thinking in advance and thinking about a concept that does not exist yet; imagine a word, that you do not know yet because it does not exist; how do you think of that word that you do not know? You might know what the word means or should mean; or you might learn or deduce what the word means, so you could know the meaning of the word without knowing the word; and then you might name the word and define the word so others could use the word. That is how a design is made.
