Onur Cobanliexplains:
A bad package could imply the product is no good; because package design is essentially part of the product; however a good package does not require the product to be good; because package design is only a part of the product. A good packaging could serve as a permanent storage for the product, it can protect the product, but most importantly it relays the idea that the product is thoroughly designed; good packaging implies good design, and good products must have good packaging.
