Design is universal, it does not begin or end with us humans, it is older than human race, it is most likely older than the universe itself. Now, I am not actually talking about intelligent design or a religious perspective, but from a scientific point of view; since there could be many more other intelligent species and since there is also a possibility that our universe is not the first one and since we are most likely not the first intelligent species in whole existence, we could actually conclude that design is older than human race.
