Onur Cobanli explains:
First, Good Design, is naturally good. The idea is simple; by definition good design is anything (products, projects, services, experiences and processes) that creates value at large; this added value is not just for the consumer, the client, the manufacturer or the distributor; the added value is for all; it is for the society and it is for the environment. Second, Good Design is desired and coveted; it has intrinsic value for which people would exchange their wealth, power and influence for. With the first definition in mind; if you create value for everyone, you become a better person. With the second statement, good design brings wealth, power and influence. The thing is that, even if you give out and distribute your good design free of charge, it still creates wealth to the society, and you, being a part of the society still gain wealth through the good design you gave out for free. Likewise good design could bring in power; power in literal sense if not for its extended meaning of influence; power as a capacity to achieve a task; good design helps you achieve more. Finally, good design could also bring recognition and influence.
