The most important thing to know when you design for a subject; is to understand and comprehend who you design for; what their needs are, which type of environment they are in, and what type of interactions they are engaged with, their biology; ergonomics, psychology and sociology; therefore studying all such fields is very important in coming up with designs that create true value, perhaps as important as the most important design book.
