No matter how good of a designer you are, it is never easy to see your own mistakes. It is easy however to do whatever you want, without listening to feedback. It is easy to do bad design. Good design requires a healthy ego that is under good control. You need high enough ego to create unique designs that deviate from norms and yet you also need good control over your ego to know when to stop and when to listen feedback to create good designs and work that are deemed desired and desirable by the people. It is always good value to put your designer ego aside and listen to feedback.
