I have said this in many ways and I will most likely find new ways to say it because it is really important, good design is truly essential for the survival of our species; we must invest in well designed products, projects, services and experiences that do not create a burden for our environment; we must work to ensure our designs create value not only in the short run but also in the long run; and that's where government intervention is necessary; companies do not have the luxury to think for the long run; the market forces companies to seek economic benefits and profits in the short run; therefore the governments; the society, people, must bring forward rules and regulations that subsidize long term designs and design thinking.
