Onur Cobanli explains:
Design is more about reality then theory; now, I am writing many adages on design, it seems that I am engaging in philosophy, but in reality, I am using these adages to promote and create awareness about design in general; I have a goal, and I am using the design adages to achieve this goal; I am practicing design, under disguise of philosophy. When I design, I try creating beautiful, aesthetic and emotional products, I use art, but I have a goal, I practice the art for a specific purpose. When I engage with science, when developing new products and projects, it is mostly about understanding material or tool capabilities, to understand my opportunities and restrictions, and when I create a new design I think of its economic implications, impact to the environment is as important a consideration as the profits and value generated. I am a designer, but I am in the business of applying art, science, economy and philosophy to create meaningful products, projects and services that help make the World a better place, this is what I say to myself, what I repeat to myself, and is my motto; I live by this code.
