First of all, good design gets hopefully recycled once its functionality is no longer needed, such as due to change of technology, trends or fashion or because there are newer, better designs available. Great design however is kept past beyond its function lifetime; you keep great design as a memory, as a keepsake, as a heirloom; you pass it to your generations, your kids. You also like to gift great designs, because it is something you enjoy so much that you want your loved ones to enjoy it too. You talk about great design. You publicize great design. You spread great design.
