One great design cannot be an imitation of another great design while one good design could be an imitation of another great design, that’s because in general great designs are highly balanced and each and every aspect, element, and thinking that makes the great design great is needed; when you imitate something you make changes; if you change a perfect thing, the result always becomes imperfect; great designs are almost perfect, you can change somethings and have good designs that are imperfect, but it is very rare that you imitate a good design and by some mistake arrive at great design; it could happen but it will most likely not happen; you may only achieve this rare feat if you understand perfectly what makes the good design really good and if you could come up with an idea to make it even better.
