Listen to complaints. People only complain about the designs they love. Making a complaint costs time, and therefore money; so if people are taking their time to complain about your work, product or project, it means you created a good product, that elicits emotions and you are in the right path. There is nothing worse than indifference in this World, but of course you must aim for the positive emotions. Great design is when people truly hate your work but still come and complain to you; so that you could make it even worse, I mean better; listen to people, solve their complaints, improve and iterate your product if needed. Remember you cannot make everyone happy.
