If people like your work, they will complain about it; they will also occasionally tell you how to fix it; general population, the people, your consumers, clients and buyers are really good at finding the problem and equally bad at finding the solution; you as the designer should be the one that finds the solution; listen to people to see the problems and use your brain to solve them yourself. Buyers will tell you what’s wrong with your design, and occasionally, they may even offer a solution.
