Good design doesn’t always sell, without good marketing because there are literally millions of products, designs, ideas and services that compete with each other and it is really hard to get the word out; it take time for people to discover your work but design is time-relevant, sometimes it is fashionable when it is created and it is high-tech when it is realized, but it does not necessarily stay fashionable or high-tech, so you have a small time frame while your good design is actually good, and in that small time-frame you need to communicate your design effectively and reach the right people the right time, and that’s only possible with marketing.
