No matter how good your design is, if it does not reach its intended audience, it withers, however if your design reaches wide distribution not only it grows and spreads but because it reaches many people it is considered good, because people confuse popular design with good design, in the end good distribution can really shape normal design into good design. One more reason how good distribution affects quality of product is about feedback from customers; the more people you reach, the more feedback you have, the more opportunity to improve the product to make it actually good.
