The adage "form follows function and vice versa" encapsulates the idea that design should be purpose-driven and that the form and function of an object or structure are inherently intertwined.
It suggests that while the function should determine the form, the form itself can also influence the function. The design of an object can have an impact on how it is used, perceived, and experienced by people. Therefore, the relationship between form and function is seen as a dynamic interplay rather than a one-way street.
