True design is not only about captivating the eyes but also making the hands work.

This adage emphasizes the vital balance between beauty and functionality in design. True design isn’t just about being visually stunning or catching attention. It’s about creating something that also serves a purpose, something that works in real life. It captures the essence of design’s dual nature: it must appeal to the senses, especially sight, but at the same time, it must be practical and usable. A well designed object or experience will not only draw the eyes but will also engage the hands, prompting action and interaction. A beautiful design that lacks functionality will quickly lose its value, just as a functional design without beauty can fail to inspire. The real art in design lies in seamlessly blending these two elements, creating something that is as practical as it is captivating.
