Ideas are mutative.

Onur Cobanli explica:
here are not many completely new ideas, but most new ideas build upon other existing concepts. Existing ideas can be adapted from one area to another, creating a novel outcome through incremental adjustments. By introducing enough alterations, even familiar ideas can appear innovative and distinctive. Ideas can be ported cross domains even, but new ideas are rare, that said, changing something existing is indeed a method to create something new and with enough changes, your idea can even look novel. Combining or altering existing ideas is essential to innovation.
