Privacy Policy
DesignAdage is privacy-first. We do not collect personal data and we do not track you.
We are privacy-first. DesignAdage does not need an account, does not ask for your personal data and does not run advertising or analytics trackers of its own.
Who is responsible
The party responsible for this website is A' Design Award and Competition. You can reach us with the contact details published in our Impressum.
What we collect
We do not collect personal information about you, we do not run analytics or tracking tools of our own and we do not build profiles of visitors. Like every website, our web server records standard technical logs (such as the IP address, the requested page, the date and time and the type of browser) to keep the website secure and stable. These logs are kept only as long as they are needed for that purpose and are then deleted or anonymised.
What stays in your browser
If you use the theme switch or the language selector, your choice is remembered in your own browser. This information stays on your device, it is never sent to us and you can delete it at any time in your browser settings. These are the items we use:
- adage-theme (local storage): the colour theme you chose, light or dark.
- adage-lang (local storage): the language you chose.
- adage-lang-sent (session storage): a flag that lasts until you close the tab and stops the automatic language switch from repeating.
Third-party services
To work, the website loads files from other providers. When your browser asks for these files, the providers can see your IP address and technical details of your browser, and their own privacy policies apply:
- Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com) delivers the typefaces.
- jsDelivr (cdn.jsdelivr.net) delivers the Bootstrap framework.
- A' Design Award and Competition (competition.adesignaward.com) delivers the quote images, the pictures of the Daily Showcase and the pages that the website links to.
- Massive Outreach (hermes.massiveoutreach.com) delivers the advertisements. It is privacy-first: it sets no cookies, uses no local storage and no fingerprinting and sends only the hostname, the page path and anonymous counters.
Newsletter and submissions
If you subscribe to the newsletter or submit a design quote, you continue on the website of A' Design Award and Competition, which handles the information you enter under its own privacy policy. When you press Subscribe, your e-mail address is passed on to that website.
Legal bases
Where data protection law requires a legal basis, we rely on our legitimate interest in running a secure, stable and useful website. When you use the newsletter or the submission service of A' Design Award and Competition, that website handles your data on its own legal basis, such as your consent or a contract.
Transfers to other countries
Some of the providers listed above may process technical data in other countries. Where the law requires it, they rely on recognised safeguards, which their own privacy policies describe.
Children
DesignAdage is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them.
Your rights
Depending on where you live you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal data, to object to its processing and to complain to the data protection authority of the place where you live or work. Because this website does not collect personal data, there is usually nothing to correct or delete, but you can contact us at any time using the details in our Impressum.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The current version is always the one published on this page.
