Good design is self-evident in the following sense; good design is designed in such way that it is easy for common people to understand its purpose, its function and utilise it the way, you as the designer, exactly imagine and designed it to be utilised. Good design is self-evident for many reasons; firstly, for example good mass-produced industrial designs usually adhere to mind-images or archetypes of what customers expect, this compliance with expectations is not about lack of innovation, but indeed is about satisfying an important market requirement about marketability and advertisability; to ensure quick adaptation and acceptance of product. Second-reason why a good design is self-evident is about simplicity and lack of complications. In the end, most industrial designs are created for mass market, that means they are designed not just for a single individual but designed to be used by many different people each with unique capacities, and therefore must also be easy to be understood, easy to be used.
